Various 5 Years of Gruuv EP 3 GruuvThe third EP in the series and no let-up in quality!

You know the deal by now, so just quickly, A1 Bassline get all spacey, bassy and moody with Hold, Kyodai’s The Place To Be starts out in deep house mode then brings in in-your-face analogue synths, Oxia & Yannick Baudino give us Simple Life, a sterling deep house dancefloor jam with a fat n’ funky bassline, understated Rhodes chords and snatches of soulful male vocal, and finally Tuff City Kids come with Taddler, a more driving, techy cut that nods towards the rave era with its stabby pianos, ruff-edged bass and fierce kicks.

All good, but Simple Life and Taddler are the killers here.
